As a parent, you will probably see words that you do not understand used to describe your child. Some of them seem foreign and harsh, while others may seem to be designed to confuse.

The following is a list of common terms used in the areas of child development, motor and movement, language development, vision and general early intervention. I hope they will help you understand what the professionals are writing about your child.
