The organizational goals are: To increase public
awareness of hydrocephalus. To collect and disseminate
information pertaining to hydrocephalus. To establish
and facilitate a communication network among
affected families. To gain a deeper understanding
of those areas effected by hydrocephalus, such
as education, insurance, employment, and family.
To promote and support research on the causes,
treatment and prevention of hydrocephalus.
In addition to providing the public with brochures
and informational pamphlets, NHF maintains an
up-to-date reference library on hydrocephalus,
has a video for rent or sale, publishes a quarterly
newsletter and, offers one-on-one peer contact.
